February 29 - April 4: Oral History Workshop with Samuel Love
Location: Munster Branch
Time: Thursdays, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Topic: Author and artist Samuel Love will lead a six week workshop series about developing and executing oral history projects. This workshop series is designed for ages 65+ but is open to all. This free workshop series is part of the Creative Aging Fellowship program sponsored by the Indiana Arts Commission and Lifelong Arts.

Starting Thursday, February 29 to Thursday, April 4, meeting from 10:30 am to noon, this workshop series will develop a specific set of skills based around interviewing, ethics, technology, and archiving. Attending every meeting is not mandatory but is encouraged. For more information please email samuelalove219@gmail.com.

Location: Merrillville Branch or Zoom
Time: 1:30 - 2:30 PM
Topic: Presented by Amanda Aguilera of the Hammond Public Library. Ancestors of families that researchers might be seeking may have lived in the northern cities of Lake County like Hammond, East Chicago and Gary, starting in the early decades of the 1900's. Most of them immigrated from other countries and states looking for work, community and opportunity.
