The Virtual Between the Lines Book Club will read The Violin Conspiracy by Brendan Slocumb. Books for this discussion can be picked up at the Dyer-Schererville branch a month prior to the event.
Ray McMillian loves playing the violin, and nothing will stop him from pursuing his dream of becoming a professional musician. When he makes the startling discovery that his great-grandfather's fiddle is actually a priceless Stradivarius, his star begins to rise. When the prized family heirloom is stolen just as the international Tchaikovsky Competition approaches, Ray is determined to get it back. But the descendants of the man who once enslaved Ray's great-grandfather are claiming that the violin belongs to them.
