This event is designed to support caregivers ages 40-60 who are juggling the responsibilities of a job, child rearing, and caring for aging parents. It's a one-stop shop for resources and assistance.
Vendors from local health facilities and organizations will be here to answer questions from 3-5pm. From 5-6 will be a "Build a Better Caregiver Workshop" that will teach skills that may lead to stress reduction for caregiver and the care partner, self-care methods to improve caregiver's health, dealing with difficult emotions, managing difficult care partner behaviors, planning for the future, information about resources, and increasing communication skills. Feel free to come in and pick up information and get back to caregiving, or stay for the entire event if you wish.
