The Bestsellers Express Collection is a browsing collection designed to give the casual browser an opportunity to find a recent or current "bestseller" on the library shelves in each of our branches. |
| We
call it an express collection because it is for people who want to read
bestsellers immediately. It is also called an express collection because
the books are due back in 7 days as opposed to the regular two week circulating
period for books.

Yes, patrons will be able to place holds on bestselling titles, but not on Bestsellers Express copies. Sometimes a title may be in both the regular circulating collection and the Bestsellers Express Collection. Holds may be placed only on the bestsellers in the regular circulating collection. Titles from the Bestsellers Express Collection will not be set aside for the patron -- it is strictly first come, first served in order that all patrons will enjoy an equal opportunity. |
|
Yes, a patron may check out a Bestsellers Express book that is the same title for which he or she may have a hold. If you finish the Bestsellers Express book and no longer need a hold on the title, please ask the library staff to cancel your hold and free the item up for another reader. |

The circulation rules below may be found on every Bestsellers Express title on the front and back covers. Patrons may return the books at any branch. There is a limit of two books that a patron can check out at one time. |
