Web PCs for Public Use

The Lake County Public Library provides World Wide Web PCs for public use at all library locations. The Web PCs also provide patrons with access to several OpenOffice applications including Writer (Word Processor), Calc (Spreadsheet), Impress (Presentations), and Drawing (Draw). Read and Accept the Computer Use Policy and Guidelines

  • Web PCs are available after adult cardholders (18 years old and over) read and agree to abide by the Library's Computer Use Policy and Computer Use Guidelines.
  • Cardholders younger than 18 years old also must have a parent's signature on file.

Sign in with your Library Card and PIN

  • Automated scheduling software, Groovix by Open Sense Solutions LLC, can be found on Web PCs and Reservation Stations to assist users in reserving time.
  • You must have a library card and PIN to use automated scheduling.

Printing

Printing is available at all computers. See the staff at the check out desks to obtain printouts. Black and white printing costs are 5¢ per page with the first two pages free each day. Color printouts are available at the Munster Branch Library for 50¢ per page beginning with the first page printed. A maximum of 50 pages can be sent to the printer with each print job. Staff can assist users who need to print more than 50 pages.
